Software / Hardware QA Test Professional

Tidel is seeking an experienced Test Professional to contribute to the continued development of Tidel’s cash management and cash recycling product line. The Software / Hardware QA Test Professional will be responsible for evaluating and testing new hardware and software designs to verify that products function according to user requirements and meet the high quality standards of Tidel.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluates and tests software and hardware designs to verify that the products function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines and product use cases.
  • Writes, revises, and follows test plans and test procedures for product evaluation.
  • Documents, in a ticket tracking workflow system, defects found with products using clear communications to ensure the development teams can recreate the defects in order to begin correcting them.
  • Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagrams, and flow charts to determine if programs will perform according to guidelines.
  • Recommends program improvements or corrections to programmers.
  • Reviews product operating logs to identify processing errors and issues.
  • Conducts compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
  • Provides non-routine customer support.
  • Provides engineering support for our manufacturing organization.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience testing hardware / software systems.
  • Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work well alone and as part of the engineering team.
  • Experience with cash handling or counting machinery is preferred.
  • Must have experience with electromechanical systems.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computing and networking technologies for conducting tests and reporting on defects found.
  • Training as an engineering technician is a significant plus.

Senior Software Engineer

Tidel is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the continued development of Tidel’s cash management and cash recycling product line. The Software Engineer will conduct analysis, design products, and program computer software to interface with various hardware components, provide custom user workflows, and communicate with external systems using multiple protocols.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires an advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies, particularly in the area of interfacing with hardware devices and inter-device communications.
  • Performs software development and dev testing procedures for new and legacy software functionality.
  • Consults with internal and, occasionally, external customers concerning software requirements and specifications.
  • Analyzes and researches software requirements to determine feasibility of design requirements within time and cost constraints.
  • Performs product design and programming activities involving multiple modules or subsystems.
  • Participates in design meetings and consults with other staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
  • Performs complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects and resolves problems found in the software.
  • Prepares documentation required of the product, including code comments, ticket tracking database content, and other documentation as required.
  • Coordinates installation of software systems as needed.
  • Attendance is required.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent technical skills, including the desire and ability to learn software, hardware and communications capabilities of Tidel safes and recyclers in detail.
  • Must be proficient with multiple programming environments and hardware platforms. Experience with embedded Windows platforms, including .NET Framework, is required.
  • Must be highly proficient with C#, XAML, and WPF.
  • Must be proficient developing multi-threaded components for embedded devices.
  • Must have experience using software revision control systems in a team programming environment.
  • Must have experience integrating software functionality with database logging and reporting tools (whether home-grown or commercial). SQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience with cash dispensers, cash recyclers or other automation equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with secure communications protocols is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis is essential.
  • Understanding of retail processes, particularly cash handling, is a significant plus.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree. Experience may substitute for formal education for exceptional candidates only.

Director of Sales

Tidel is seeking an experienced Director of Sales (DOS)- The DOS will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for sourcing new opportunities and close sales to achieve assigned regional quotas. Candidate will have a sales/business development background in one or more of Retail Store Systems, Retail Cash/Treasury Management, Consumer Payment Systems or Store Transformation; and a career background in Strategic Consulting, Strategic Sales, or customer-facing Product Management. They will be an expert in the Retail industry, spending the majority of their time working directly with customers and partners leading transformational conversations; as well looking at innovative ways to bring our solutions to the market quickly and effectively.

Working at both business and technical levels within organizations, they will use a consultative, analytical approach and will have an ability to lead and impart global store systems and payments strategy (with a particular emphasis on cash handling process) and vision both internally and externally. They will possess a sound knowledge of business industry challenges; change / transformation; early market (new product/category) entry strategy; and be successful in using deep retail industry insight and knowledge to develop innovative solutions for retailers and other companies who use Tidel’s offerings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create opportunities by hunting for new clients in retail, QSR, hospitality, casual dining, convenience store, healthcare, and MSB verticals.
  • Responsible for personal revenue contribution for smart safes and/or recycler solutions
  • Work closely with strategic partners in enabling sales resources in assigned region
  • May take responsibility for one or more new product/solution initiatives.
  • Become an evangelist for retail cash management solutions in order to drive end user interest and demand.
  • Pipeline building, contribution to thought leadership, participation in driving of demand generation activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience promoting Cash Management Solutions, Retail Store Systems, Consumer Payment Systems, or Store Transformation.
  • Minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Bachelor’s Degree or work experience

Financial Analyst

Tidel is seeking a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will partner with the finance team and business leaders on financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, financial modeling, financial/business metrics, forecasting and budgeting. The individual will participate in the processes to produce monthly financial accounting and reporting packages for Management on an ongoing basis. The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis with significant day to day interface with the CFO and Controller.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists team in aligning to company objectives and assuring complete and clearly presented information is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Requires sufficient knowledge of company financials to ensure adherence to deadlines, assure appropriate review and approval steps, and confirm all functional areas have been validated.
  • Performs robust analysis to assist management in making business decisions to include:
    • Weekly financial forecast (includes P&L, AR, AP, Cash forecasts)
    • Monthly product and margin variance analysis
    • Monthly financial reports including Management Discussions & Analysis write up
    • Annual budgeting process and quarterly budget updates
  • Performing on-going monthly report reviews to evaluate effectiveness and achieve efficiencies.
  • Sales and Use tax sales data
  • General day to day accounting and month-end close
  • Work with customers regarding AR collections
  • Miscellaneous special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study (Or equivalent work experience).
  • Prior experience working for a private equity firm a plus.
  • Highly developed Excel skills are a must. Knowledge using these functions: Vlookup, Hlookup, If, Sumif, Sumifs, Concatenate and Subtotal. Also, must know how to use Pivot Tables, Filters, Sort, and the various ways to Copy and Paste data.
  • Advanced proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
  • Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat DC for creating and editing PDF files.
  • ERP experience. (EPICOR experience a plus)

Project Manager

Tidel is seeking a Project Manager (Non-IT). This position will be responsible for the overall project management efforts related to Tidel’s cash management portfolio. In this role, the project manager (Non-Technical) will be responsible for matrix management of all Tidel functions contributing to the successful rollout and sustainment of Tidel solutions to its customers and channel partner ecosystem. The PM will manage multiple business and operational projects that will address product readiness, support readiness, partner enablement, customer service, contract development, data analysis and research, customer proposals, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role of the position is to plan, execute, and finalize projects to launch and support new solutions from Tidel according to deadlines and within budget. This includes planning resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end for simultaneous projects
  • Research and analyze required data and derive conclusions and needed reports based on such data
  • Prepare planning artifacts for project initiation (Charter/Scope/Roles and Responsibilities/Methodology, and Project Schedule)
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and project stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion
  • Interact with other department managers, team members, and project stakeholders as required
  • Facilitate project team meetings to assess project progress and resolve issues; prepare and distribute meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action items and project status reports
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Develop procedures and best practices
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools

  • Develop customer proposals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree. PMP Certification, Prince2 or other formal project management methodology qualification preferred

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
