Senior Project Manager

The Sr Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the execution of new products and technology that can later be sold to external customers. The Sr Project Manager will work within the New Product Development (NPD) process methodology and drive the maturity of the process within Tidel.

The Sr Project Manager plays a major role in problem identification and resolution during the NPD process by highlighting potential areas of concern and promptly driving resolution of issues that affect program execution. Focus is on: development of project plan based on scope of project; execution of those plans; management of cross functional teams; and project financials. The Sr Project Manager will be required to manage more than one program simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning, organization, and target setting:
    • Set up / maintains project structure (timing, team, budget), plans required resource
    • Cascades agreed program targets to team members
    • Develops program plans including timing, work plans, program milestones, critical path, risk management, cost/benefit analysis, staffing, and budgets
    • Plans team meeting schedules and timing for key meetings including technical and launch readiness reviews
  • Controlling / Managing / Problem Solving
    • Systematically manages program risks
    • Solves conflicts at his/her level and within the team
    • Escalates issues to management that cannot be solved within team
    • Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with core team members and stakeholders
    • Meets internal targets (Profitability & cost targets, project budget, quality & technical requirements, capital & tooling budget, project timing,)
    • Follows up task completion, ultimately responsible to deliver project on time
    • Ability to drive all aspects of the NPD process to completion
    • Able to capture process improvements and drive them through the appropriate groups to potential agreement and then incorporation
  • Task Execution
    • Leads cross-functional team; New Product Development team typically consists of Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Service
    • Integrates lessons learned from previous projects
    • Receives and critically assesses cost for price / engineering changes decisions/opportunities
    • Responsible for tracking product development financials
    • Responsible for planning and follow-up of prototype/engineering development runs
    • Responsible for generating lessons learned
    • Responsible for ensuring new or novel ideas are properly captured and protected by initiating and follow through with the legal team for intellectual property
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicates to internal stakeholders (timing, project status, change management)
    • Cascades / publishes information to team and reporting to management by using project status dashboards
    • Ensures timely and complete update of project documentation
    • Records and drives actions of project meeting
    • Provides immediate feedback on team member performance to functional managers
    • Utilizes central storage of information and encourages use to ensure one source of truth
    • Ensure team recognizes key milestones and maintain progress towards and achievement of these milestones
  • Process development
    • Advocate of NPD process development and maturity within the organization
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferable in mechanical or software engineering) with strong capabilities to absorb technical information. Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with managing technical projects
  • PMP certification preferred or minimum of 5 years’ experience in product design and development
  • Experience of computer-controlled electromechanical systems would be advantageous
  • Proven knowledge of project management methodology, tools and techniques.

Associate Project Manager

The Associate Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the execution of current product projects with a focus on product extensions, improvements, cost reductions & end of life replacements. The Associate Project Manager will work within the New Product Development (NPD) process methodology and contribute to the maturity of the process within Tidel.

The Associate project manager will use their organization and planning skills to manage tasks effectively and complete projects as expected. Their analytical abilities, team building and motivation skills help them organize resources, work under tight deadlines, manage simultaneously occurring tasks and shifting priorities, control project change and generate maximum team performance. The Associate Project Manager will be required to manage more than one project simultaneously.

Essential Job Functions

  • Project Planning and Management
  • Collaborate with core team members to develop schedules/timelines, define intermediate milestones & associated deliverables/checklists.
  • Track all actions to completion
  • Identify schedule delays and/or probability of missed deadlines and establish associated corrective action plans.
  • Provide project status reports and participate in project status reviews
  • Document meeting minutes and actions for meetings
  • Setup and maintain project collaboration archives in MSTeams.
  • As required, assist core project team members with the distribution of information among project team members to enable excellent communication and coordination within the team
  • Document Lessons Learned after project completion
  • Assist Sr Project Managers as needed (i.e. prepare documentation for kick off meetings, new project setup, correspondence, etc.).
  • Enter, monitor and track progress of project risks, issues and assumptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Review and finalize all proposal sections for consistency, clarity, and compliance with requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferable in technical, IT or engineering) or strong capabilities to absorb technical information.

Junior Buyer

Tidel is seeking a Buyer responsible to provide parts, equipment, and materials by developing sources of supply and monitoring supplier performance; obtaining required parts, equipment and materials, verifying receipt of items, authorizing payment, as well as managing and controlling inventory.

Essential Job Functions

  • Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions.
  • Handle correspondence concerning discrepancies related to over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required.
  • Works closely with Purchasing Manager on issuance of (RFQ/RFP) requests for quotes/proposals.
  • Liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems.
  • Process non-conforming material requests and RMA requests with supply chain partners.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals and as set by management.
  • Maintain accuracy of commodity code information within Epicor, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.
  • Ensure Epicor parameters are maintained by monitoring minimum, maximum, safety, and current inventory levels; making recommendations to management for adjustments to levels.
  • Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job related tasks as needed; enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Planning or a related field preferred.
  • CPM or APICS certification desirable.
  • 2+ years of related procurement experience including purchasing, inventory control, supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of MRP processes (Epicor experience a plus).
  • Contract manufacturing experience beneficial.
  • Knowledge of import freight movement.

Tidel is looking for a Director of Call Center Operations to join the service team.  The Director of Call Center Operations will oversee all aspects of the technical support and service department, including developing a team of professionals dedicated to delivering a remarkable customer experience.  This will be accomplished through effective leadership, achieving aggressive business goals, executing a proven data collections strategy, driving operational efficiencies, and developing a strong management team within the department.

Additionally, the Director of Call Center Operations will be responsible for developing, managing, and delivering periodic reports that communicate issues, trends, and customer feedback to the company on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

This position works with stakeholders in various departments to communicate technical customer needs with the goal of improving the customer experience.

Tidel is seeking an experienced Director of Sales for our Cash Recycler business. The DOS will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for sourcing new opportunities and closing sales to achieve assigned regional quotas.  The candidate will have a sales/business development background in one or more of Retail Store Systems, Retail Cash/Treasury Management, Consumer Payment Systems or Store Transformation, as well as a background in Strategic Consulting, Strategic Sales, or customer-facing Product Management.  They will be an expert in the Retail industry, specifically grocery retail, spending the majority of their time working directly with customers and partners leading transformational conversations; as well looking at innovative ways to bring our solutions to the market quickly and effectively.

Working at both business and technical levels within organizations, they will use a consultative, analytical approach and will have an ability to lead and impart global store systems and payments strategy (with a particular emphasis on cash handling processes) and vision both internally and externally.  They will possess a sound knowledge of business industry challenges, change / transformation, and early market (new product/category) entry strategy.  The ideal candidate will also be successful in using deep retail industry insight and knowledge to develop innovative solutions for retailers and other organizations who use Tidel’s offerings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create opportunities by hunting for new clients in the grocery retail space.
  • Responsible for personal revenue contribution for recycler solutions.
  • Work closely with strategic partners in enabling sales resources in assigned territory.
  • May take responsibility for one or more new product/solution initiatives.
  • Become an evangelist for retail cash management solutions in order to drive end user interest and demand.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Mechanical Assembler

Tidel is looking for Mechanical Assemblers. The Mechanical Assembler will assemble manufactured products and pack according to specifications, bill of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble products.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and understand bill of materials. (BOM).
  • Must be able to recognize parts.
  • Must be able to identify hardware.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Previous assembly experience.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
  • Drug screen required for position.
  • Some overtime maybe required with little advanced notice. Overtime may include weekends.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-year previous assembly experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The production area is climate controlled.
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Must wear safety equipment.
